The Henley Standard announces Dreadzone to headline
Electro-dub pioneers to headline at Hideaway

Dreadzone

DREADZONE will headline Saturday night at Hideaway Music Festival.

DREADZONE will headline at Hideaway Music Festival on Saturday 9th August. Known for their witty, inspired soundscapes, possibly their best-known track is “Little Britain”, an eclectic mash-up of house, jungle, dub and classic music. “It’s all bundled up with heartbreak and love and revolution,” said Greg Dread.

Born out of Big Audio Dynamite, Dreadzone are now celebrating their 21st year of creating memorable music and notable albums Second Light (one of John Peel’s all time favourite albums) and Escapades. They discovered and honed their unique sound in the bass culture of west London, and in the club night Dubwiser at the Notting Hill Arts Club in the late 1990s.

Dreadzone opened the main stage at Glastonbury in 1994 and are back again there this year. A firm festival favourite, the Hideaway crowd are in for a real treat. Prepare to hear the cry from the stage: “when I say Dread, you say ZONE!”
